Hoot Couture

Growing up in 70's, I was surrounded by my mother's obsession with owls. Our walls were filled with artwork from these nightly creatures and there were hundreds of statues placed on every surface of our home. My mother would never throw anything away. She always told me fashion repeats itself and she was right.

In 2009, Marc Jacobs started the trend again with his Fall Collection of owl t-shirts and accessories. You could find celebrities everywhere wearing owl necklaces and rings. This fashion trend also made its way to home decor on pillows, wallpaper, and fabric.

Kate Spade also followed this trend with her accessory line. I adore this bag!

Fashion trends often take awhile to go from the runway to the average consumer. Jill Stuart is showing this trend in her Fall 2011 collection.

Michelle and I grew up together in the 70's. We were next door neighbors and best friends since we were 3 years old. Most of our jewelry collections are inspired from our childhood.  My mother had drawers full of costume jewelry that we would dive into and play. This is our collection of Hoot Couture! We would love to know what you think!

All the Best,
Jennifer
